The General Directorate of Forestry (OGM) is responsible for the protection and management of Turkey's 22.7 million hectares of forest area. Special equipped vehicles are needed for forest fire suppression, forestry activities and terrain operations. Off-road fire trucks, first response vehicles that can navigate narrow forest roads, and large capacity water tankers are critically important against the increased fire risk during summer months.
